The Season of Sin Trailer
The Season of Sin (Book 2 in the Bree and Steven Series) Coming January 2012!
Brianna’s psychiatrist, Dr. Nadia Hollister is stabbed to death in her upstairs bathroom. Brianna, who is at Nadia’s while the murder happens, is the only witness. Unfortunately she was knocked unconscious by the killer and only has the memory of the killer’s scent to go on. Brianna and Steven sign on to help Homicide Detective Jayce Matthews solve the case. With Nadia’s journals as her guide, Bree learns that Nadia was keeping a devastating secret that has something to do with her adopted daughter. The renowned doctor was not whom she seemed to be and her secret may not have only got her killed but could ruin the foundation of her entire family. The police hunt for suspects but Nadia’s secret could wreck the lives of many, all who have motive to kill her. The deeper Brianna and Steven dig into Nadia’s past; the more they question whether Nadia was the true victim after all. What Others Are Saying: The Season of Sin is a psychological fast-paced thriller. Readers will be enthralled within the pages at the cleverly done plot filled with multiple layers, twists and turns. While reading Stacy-Deanne's The Season of Sin, I felt like I got an inside view of a Lifetime suspense movie. I can't get enough of Detectives Brianna "Bree" Morris" and Steven Kemp. The chemistry between the two oozes off the pages. If you're looking for a captivating suspense novel, then you don't want to pass up adding The Season of Sin to your shelf. ~ Shelia M Goss, National Best-selling author of Delilah, My Invisible Husband and Savannah's Curse REVIEW: The Season of Sin by Stacy-Deanne will from the title have you thinking it is one thing but from the first words, you know it is something else again. From the first pages I was drawn into the story and wanted to know what else was going to happen. The story started with Officer Brianna Morris recovering from an assault and discovering, Nadia, her friend has been murdered, probably by the person who assaulted her. However, before we can get caught up in the 'who-doneit' we are intrigued by the relationship between Brianna and another officer, Steven. Immediately, you see there is history between them, but it doesn't stop the author from adding other characters to their mix. I loved the favors of the characters and the diversity. I also found the mystery and crime elements intriguing. What I loved most was how the story was fully fleshed out and could be, mystery, romance or simply good storytelling. The crime felt real as did the romance and the 'sin' as indicated in the title. I recommend The Season of Sin to those who love good books. 5 stars Angelia Vernon Menchan SOME OF MY SUSPENSE FAVORITES:
